The January Series in July is tapping into our archives to revisit some of our most powerful talks. Today will feature Eugene Peterson.

Rev. Eugene Peterson was for many years the James M. Houston Professor of Spiritual Theology at Regent College in Vancouver, British Columbia. He also served as the founding pastor of Christ Our King Presbyterian Church in Bel Air, Maryland. In addition to his widely acclaimed paraphrase of the New Testament, "The Message," he wrote many other books, including Eat This Book, published in 2009.
In this talk, the opening prayer is done by June Hammersma, the founding director of the January Series. The introduction was done by John Witvliet, former director of the Calvin Institute for Christian Worship.
