Hope: A Virtue for Teaching and Educational Practice

This presentation will report on early progress from a current Kuyers Institute project funded by the Templeton Religion Trust. We will discuss the limitations of current cognitive models for studying hope among children and adolescents, present an emerging framework for studying hope as a virtue, and offer examples of connections to classroom teaching and learning. The presentation will include an opportunity for interactive learning and reflection on your own conception of hope.
